Zombie
A zombie is a reanimated human corpse. The word comes from Afro-Carribean Vodoun religion, but has been widely appropriated into popular culture outside of Haiti, and is often stripped of its religious associations. Zombies are a common theme of horror and fantasy cinema, television and literature.
