Short for "web log". A log published on the world wide web. It can be about just about anything. News links, journal entries, essays, articles, photos, etc. The distinguishing characteristic is its reverse chronological default sort — the log.

Many zinesters have moved to blogs.

Also a verb: to blog, to post to a blog. Intransitive and transitive uses apply.

Blogger: someone who blogs.
