Virago Press (http://www.virago.co.uk/) is "the largest women's imprint in the world" .

Founded by Carmen Callil, Rosie Boycott, and Marsha Rowe in 1973, and run for its first three years by Carmen Callil, Ursula Owen, and Harriet Spicer. Its first publication was Fenwomen by Mary Chamberlain.[1]
