Xena goes into labor, discovers the identity of her baby's father, and is the center of the battle between the old gods (Ares et al) and the new way (led by Eli, Callisto, and others); while Gabrielle once again is faced with the choice between the way of love and the way of war.
Dialog
- Ares pops in and snarks to Xena: "You, on the other hand, have been keeping yourself busy. I wish I'd known you were looking for a father."
- Xena: "I'm not."
- Ares: "Oh? Well, somebody clearly got the job."
- Xena: "Yeah, Gabrielle."
- Areas looks back and forth between the two of them. "I would have paid to see that."
- Gabrielle smirks.
