Issues about how to categorize.

Principles:

Categories are a finding tool
Categories are not something desirable in and of themselves. They're not a special recognition that really excellent writers or books "deserve".
Categories should be used to find not conceal or segregate.

Specific questions

FSFwiki:Categorization project: Help! Should we have categories for the "defaults" here on the FSFwiki? If most of the writers covered here are female writers, do we need a Category:Female writers? If most of the writers here are SF writers, do we need a Category:SF writers? Share your thoughts at FSFwiki talk:Categorization/Defaults.
