Xena and Gabrielle face a tribe of deadly cannibals.
Notes
- Nice Robin Hood-style costumes at the beginning of the episode, complete with bow and arrows
- fish joke early on
- Xena kicks ass old school with Xena super-heroics and feats of super-strength and her old fire-breathing trick again (yaay) and lots of kaiyiyi-ing and general super-Xenadom
- Gabrielle, when she thinks she's dying (and maybe she is), tells Xena that she doesn't want to be buried with the Amazons, or with her family, but with Xena and Xena's family; she's part of Xena, and wants it to be like that forever; "I love you." Xena cries and says this is her fault; she put Gabrielle on the wrong path. Gabrielle says any path is the right path, so long as she is with Xena.
- I'm pretty sure one of the cannibals said "ooga-booga" at one point
- Xena finally comments on the condition of her sword, after having built an entire dam with it.
Intertextuality
- The friend roasting on the spit scene is from "The Naked Prey"
