• racism/colonialism/anti-immigrant (metaphoric, rebellion, ethnic genocide, minority characters)
• queer themes (coming out, sex changes, neuter species, queer characters, homophobia, elimination of queerness)
• body image, beauty, lookism, heightism, sizeism, fat
• aging, age discrimination, children's rights, anti-youth discrimination

need to develop some sort of coherent way to handle lists of works/characters ... when we're listing a work because it includes some character representation, then it should be a list of characters (with works in parentheses); when we're listing a work because it deals with some theme,
