Bellatrix Lestrange, née Black, is a character from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.

She is a pureblooded (and racist) witch.

Bellatrix was one of the Death Eaters who were imprisoned in Azkaban following the downfall of Voldemort in 1981, and who remained loyal to him until his return to power.
