The evil little girl is a common trope. Evil little girls are frequently used for shock value, to increase the sense of horror at seeing evilness in what is, presumably, the epitome of "everything nice". Racist ideology which links blondeness to good, and darkness to evil, informs the common depiction of evil little girls as attractive, blonde children: The contrast between the evilness and the apparent innocence is presumably heightened by making the child female and blonde.

This trope is related to:

  • evil teen girls who are seductive
  • possession of children and girls by evil spirits, which effectively acts as another way of creating an "evil child"

Examples

  • the evil little blonde girl from the white room on Angel, who acts as a conduit between the demonic Senior Partners and the humans (killed in Habeas Corpses), s.4, e.8
