Dr. Dors Venabili is a character in Isaac Asimov’s foundation series. She appears in Prelude to Foundation and Forward to Foundation. A robot created by R. Daneel Olivaw, she was assigned to protect Hari Seldon, whom she later marries. Dors earned the nickname “The Tiger Woman” for her strength. She has a degree in History. She is murdered in Forward the Foundation by Dr. Tamwile Elar, who wanted her out of the way so that her husband would be vulnerable.

There is some role reversal with the character of Dors, as she considers it her duty to protect and take care of her husband, rather than the other way around.
