Ngahuia Te Awekotuku is a Maori writer and academic. She is Professor of Research and Development at the Centre for Māori and Pacific Development Research at Waikato University. Her short story collection Ruahine: Mythic Women retells Maori folk stories from a feminist perspective and with SFnal elements.
