The Etiquette of Self Promotion

The Craft and Business of Writing • Sunday 8:30 - 9:45 AM • Wisconsin

As writers, we all know that we need to promote our work to see it sell. We network, we blog, we hold contests and we build websites. We also get boring and annoying (at best) when we don't know when to stop. What are some good and socially acceptable techniques for promoting your work? How you figure out when "some" becomes "too much?" What do you think is your most effective vehicle for self–promoting?
