summary & spoilers
- Kenneth Irons' severed hand shows remarkable signs of life. After encountering the hand, Ian Nottingham appears pensive. He contracts with three guys to kill Sara. One of the guys (Morpheus?) makes a reference to Gilgamesh and Enkidu - legend of Gilgamesh, whose unrequited lust for the wood nymph Sehren drove him to distraction; he asked Enkidu to kill her for him. It turns out that Sehren was, by legend, one of the Witchblade bearers; she was a hunter, and was known as Diana to the Greeks.
