Update, database, update! Raelle Tucker and Sera Gamble aren't showing up in this category yet, dammit. Also: thinking of merging the Television writers category with this one (under the Screenwriters name, irrespective of the size of the screen). --Ide Cyan 05:51, 19 April 2007 (PDT)

Well - there's no reason that it should have a problem if the categories are run together on one line, but when i split them out on both gamble & tucker they each showed up in screenwriters. maybe some kind of weird caching thing - mediawiki is aggressive with caching. i'll keep an eye on it - if you see more incidents please bring them to my attention.
on the merger - i don't have a problem with it. i agree that it doesn't make a huge amount of difference, especially given the way the media are blending and blurring these days. however, for the sake of thoroughness of discussion, i'll list what i think of as the differences: they're slightly different formats, and not just because of size of screen, although that does affect the wideness of shots available. but also tv writers usually have to write in for commercial breaks and the rise and fall of action that commercial breaks necessitate. and most tv writers are shorter format ... and tv writers are often (not always) working within a serial format. and less often are adapting a previously existing work. ...? can't think of any other significant differences, and doesn't change my mind because it's all blurring right now. --LQ 06:53, 19 April 2007 (PDT)
Hey Ide Cyan -- any more thoughts on this? I'm still leaning toward merger. Are you having second thoughts? If not what say we merge? over the next couple of days? --LQ 14:01, 2 May 2007 (PDT)
