Beloved (novel)

Beloved is a 1987 ghost story novel by Toni Morrison. It won a Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1988, and was made into a film in 1998; Morrison later wrote an opera (Margaret Garner) based on the same historical events on which Beloved the novel was based.
