Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning

Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning (2004) is the prequel to Ginger Snaps (2004) and Ginger Snaps: Unleashed (2004).

In 1815 Canada, the sisters Ginger and Brigitte (ancestors or earlier incarnations of the characters in Ginger Snaps) seek refuge in a remote colonial trading post beset by werewolves.

Ginger and Brigitte are the only female characters in this movie, apart from an elder Native woman who warns them about a prophecy they must fulfill. They face the patriarchal attitudes of the men in the military-control trading post, who seek to scapegoat them for the threat posed by werewolves in that isolated location.
