- Dean Winchester shows up at Stanford to pick up his little brother, Sam, to go look for their father who has disappeared on a "hunting trip". The boys and their father were "hunters" of the supernatural until Sam went to college. Sam wants to go back and go to law school but discovers that his girlfriend Jessica has been killed the same way his mother was killed when he was a baby.
