- Episode starts with Sam running; he runs into a bar & talks to barkeeper (Robin); he has amnesia, but has a sense of urgency. He starts to have flashes of memory of himself in a hotel, with Bobby & Dean, and he and the bartender go to the hotel; leaving, they are shot at by someone -- Sam is shooting at Sam. Now we see Sam lying unconscious on a bed in Bobby's same room, with Dean sitting worriedly over him.
- Bobby & Dean are arguing over what to do -- Purgatory is about to be loosed, and Sam is still unconscious.
- Sam and Robin are driving to North Dakota to see Bobby Fisher. Sam stops the car -- he is confused about night and day. Robin gets out to leave but Sam tells her to get back in the car, then he investigates the trunk and finds all the weaponry.
