Affinity is a fascinating story of Victorian spiritualism, women's prisons, and sublimated (perhaps) lesbianism. A woman in Victorian times does charity work at a women's prison, and becomes entangled with a medium. Are they falling in love? Can the medium be trusted? Is she really a medium? What is reality and what is fantasy?
