Constantine (2005) is an American horror/fantasy film loosely based on the Hellblazer comic book series.
It was written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank A. Cappello and directed by Francis Lawrence.

Summary
John Constantine, who is dying of lung cancer, teams up with detective Angela Dodson, whose twin sister recently committed suicide, to investigate demonic manifestations in Los Angeles, California.
Trivia
In the comic books, John Constantine is British, but the character's nationality and setting were moved to the USA for the purposes of the movie, and a dark-haired Keanu Reeves plays the part of Constantine, who is a blonde Sting-lookalike in the comics.
Tilda Swinton plays the role of the androgynous angel Gabriel, who is referred to by other characters as male. Swinton was already known for having played an androgynous role in the 1992 film Orlando by Sally Potter.
Analysis
The film features a demonic pregnancy, as the son of Satan attempts to gain entry into the human world by possessing the body of Angela Dodson.
