Michael (1996) is an American film directed by Nora Ephron, written by Nora Ephron, Delia Ephron, Peter Dexter and Jim Quinlan, based on a story by Dexter & Quinlan.

It is a fantasy comedy about a trio of tabloid employees (and a dog) who travel to rural Iowa to look into an old woman's claim that the archangel Michael is living in her house.

The film uses John Travolta's atypical angel character (who possesses a strong sexual magnetism towards women encountered during the obligatory road trip at the center of the movie, who are drawn to him in a way that men are not) as a means of bringing Willian Hurt and Andie McDowell's characters together romantically.
