Ennen päivänlaskua ei voi is a 2000 novel by Johanna Sinisalo.
It was translated as Not Before Sundown in 2003 and again in 2004 as Troll: A Love Story. The English translation won the 2004 James Tiptree, Jr. Award, along with Camouflage by Joe Haldeman.
The novel tells the story of a gay Finnish man who finds an injured troll in his apartment building's garbage area. He takes the troll home and proceeds to teach himself to feed and care for it. He gets some help in this process from a Phillipine mail-order bride who is effectively imprisoned in her apartment in the same building by a jealous husband. The troll takes on a surprising role in both characters' lives.
