Practical Magic is a 1998 film adapted from the novel of the same name by Alice Hoffman. It was directed by Griffin Dunne, and had two female leads (played by Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman). The story was of two women in a family of witches whose husbands historically had untimely deaths. The film was produced by Denise Di Novi, and written by Alice Hoffman, Robin Swicord, Akiva Goldsman, and Adam Brooks.
