Query-- I'm not sure that Nightwatch fails this test. There is one confirmed sex-worker (Rosie Palm) and one probable sex-worker, Madam. The later is not confirmed, since her occupation is a source of speculation.

Sandra is explicitly not a sex-worker. Cherry Littlebottom is explicitly not a sex worker. Sybil Vimes is explicitly not a sex worker.

Of tertiary female characters with speaking roles, most do not appear to be involved with prostitution (Mrs Rutherford? Not sure of her exact name.)

I'm not sure where one includes people like the agony Aunts, who are involved in the field, but don't appear to be prostitutes themselves.

Yeah. And considering Pratchett has a pretty well-rounded female cast in the Discworld series as a whole, putting Night Watch on this list is bunkum.
