Talk:Separatism

...and now I really have to pitch in avec une pincée de sel québécoise... Ici, "separatist" est un terme fédéraliste, tandis que le mouvement qui vise la création d'une nation québécoise se nomme lui-même indépendantiste. There's a semantic difference between the words that carries political implications. Thought I'd bring that up. Of course, nationalism and gender do not begin from the same premises. Geographical concerns being only one of those. --Ide Cyan 16:19, 8 May 2007 (PDT)

... yes -- i just made a quick nod to political separatism to define it. please fix it up if you care to, to clarify the various levels of separatism which i didn't even begin to touch on (economic, political, etc.). probably particularly pertinent in political independence/separatist movements as you point out. there are lots of examples from us history & current politics as well; puertorriqueña; hawai'ian; etc. --LQ 16:50, 8 May 2007 (PDT)
