The dead/evil lesbian cliché is the plot cliché wherein lesbians in fiction will end up dead or evil by the end of the story.

A notable non-SFnal example is the film The Children's Hour (1961).

Examples in SF

  • Thelma Bates in Hex subverts the cliché a little: she dies in the first episode, but remains a major character throughout the rest of the series since she immediately returns as a ghost.
