The Cordwainer Smith Rediscovery Award ("The Cordwainer") is presented each year to a SF (science fiction or fantasy) writer whose work deserves renewed attention or "rediscovery". Works must "display unusual originality" and "embody the spirit of Cordwainer Smith's fiction."

The award was first presented in 2001 at WorldCon ("PhilCon") to Olaf Stapledon.
