feministSF.org is a loose association of folks who coordinate various projects which are hosted at feministSF.net. Projects include:

Other proposed or in-progress projects include:

  • collaboration space
  • calendar of feministSF events
  • archive of feministSF on the web
  • jabber & secure communications for the feministSF community
  • feministSF research/scholarship archive
  • feministSF feed aggregator
  • project space for specific projects, such as the Laadan Working Group
  • discussion space for feministSF writers, such as Ursula K. Le Guin, Sheri S. Tepper, Joanna Russ, etc.

Other projects may be proposed -- send email to webmistress at feministsf.org .

The project began as a website founded by Laura Quilter in December 1994 as two webpage bibliographies on Sheri S. Tepper and Ursula K. Le Guin, respectively. After significant positive interest, the site quickly developed into the "feminist science fiction, fantasy and utopian website". In 1997-98, the site moved to its own domain, http://feministSF.org . The original bibliographies & enhanced resources are still available at http://feministsf.org.
