The dead/evil lesbian cliché is the plot cliché wherein lesbians in fiction will end up dead or evil by the end of the story.
A notable non-SFnal example is the film The Children's Hour (1961).
Examples in SF
- Tara and Willow in Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 6: Willow turns evil after Tara's death.
- Thelma Bates in Hex subverts the cliché a little: she dies in the first episode, but remains a major character throughout the rest of the series since she immediately returns as a ghost.
- Admiral Helena Cain in Battlestar Galactica and Battlestar Galactica: Razor. Cain's lover, Gina, is a Cylon infiltrator. When she finds out about it, Cain imprisons Gina and orders her male officers to torture and rape her. Gina later escapes, and murders Cain, before killing herself in a suicide bombing.
