Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan is a character from Farscape, who was played by Virginia Hey.

She is a Delvian priestess, who was imprisoned by the Peacekeepers, and who escaped along with Rygel XVI, Ka D'Argo, Pilot and Moya in the series premiere, taking John Crichton and Aeryn Sun along with them.

Zhaan is a pacifist with a very dark streak. Of the three prisoners on Moya who escaped at the beginning of the series, she was the only one to have been guilty of the crime for which she was imprisoned: the murder of her lover. Although, like Rygel and D'Argo, her imprisonment also had political reasons: her lover had collaborated with the Peacekeepers, and her murder of him was part of her attempt at a resistance against their influence.

She also helped to cut off one of Pilot's arms in "D.N.A. Mad Scientist".

Her character follows a spiritual quest for redemption throughout her run on the series, and seeks to become worthy of her goddess. She is open with her sexuality, and, when not preoccupied with her own demons, often the most nurturing character in the series, as well as the oldest.

She formed close relationships with her crewmates, and with the recurring character of another mystic, Stark.

She saved Aeryn Sun's life at the cost of her own health in "Season of Death", and sacrified herself to save Moya and the others in "Self-Inflicted Wounds Part II: Wait for the Wheel".

Her character appeared again briefly in later episodes, in virtual reality settings and alternate universes, but did not come back to life. (Virginia Hey had to leave the series because the prosthetics she had to wear for the role were bad for her health.)

Oh yeah, and she's a sentient plant.
