Dans une galaxie près de chez vous is a made-in-Québec science-fiction comedy series about a group of hapless explorers searching for a new planet to colonise.

There was a feature film of the same title released after the series ended.

Tagline: "Là, où la main de l'homme n'a jamais mis le pied."

The show shares some similarities with the series Red Dwarf, in being a sci-fi sitcom set onboard a spaceship, and having characters belonging to the same type (Brad and Rimmer, for instance).
