- The brothers have a lead on the Colt, which they have learned is in the hands of the demon Crowley. It starts out with Crowley making a deal with a banker, Mr. Pendleton, whose bank has failed (arguably, Bank of America?); the banker thought it would be a young attractive girl; Crowley (played by Mark Sheppard) tells him, "Your choice. You can cling to six decades of deep-seated homophobia, or give it up and get a complete bailout for your bank's ridiculous incompetence." Behind the scene Castiel is watching.
- Jo helps the guys break into Crowley's house, where he hands them the Colt, and gives them a lead to the Devil in Missouri.
- Castiel and Ellen have a drink under-the-table match. Dean comes onto Jo who turns him down in favor of self-respect. Bobby takes a group photo.
- The group shows up in a town and Castiel sees (white, male) Reapers everywhere: They only gather together at times of Great Catastrophe, he says, forebodingly. Castiel is trapped by Lucifer in a ring of holy fire. Lucifer tries to tempt him, of course.
- Demon Meg shows up, with invisible hellhounds; Jo saves Dean but is savaged by a hellhound herself.
