Cerise Magazine (or Cerise) is an online gaming magazine for women. It was launched by the Iris Gaming Network in May of 2007. It is explicitly feminist and focuses on the intersections between gaming and social justice. The gaming content includes video games, tabletop games, and live action role-playing.

Content includes articles, reviews, gamer stories, and interviews. Some notable interviewees include White Wolf freelancer Jess Hartley, Marketing Lead for Dungeons & Dragons Sara Girard, and freelance writer Monica Valentinelli. One of the most popular features, which ran from 2007 to 2009, was called "Craft Check" and was a How To guide for creating various game-related items.

From 2007 to 2008 the magazine was published in a monthly format which switched to a bi-annual form in 2009. The last issue was published at the end of 2009. The magazine was put on hold due to lack of volunteers and is currently undergoing a redesign.

Reception

Cerise's launch was greeted with much enthusiasm[1][2], although it came under fire for calling itself a "gaming magazine for women"[3]. The launch was also plugged by Kotaku, where a quote by Guilded Lily was erroneously attributed to Iris's "founders"[4].

The Winter 2009 issue received a positive review on The F-Word[5].
