Face of the Enemy is a 2007 SF novel by Sandra Barret.
Synopsis:
Helena 'Dray' Draybeck is a military brat finishing her final year of fighter pilot training. Jordan Bowers is the daughter of a high-ranking ambassador trying to escape the world of politics with a military career. War pits Dray and Jordan against family, questionable allies, and an enemy neither is prepared for. Can they build something more than friendship, or will war and family secrets tear these two women apart?
Face of the Enemy is a stand alone novel set in the Terra/Nova universe, where chip implants and DNA manipulation are commonplace, and bigotry drives an interstellar superpower.
