Fan service

Fan service refers to creators' "servicing" of heterosexual male fans' desires to see sexualized female characters, or, more broadly, to creators' servicing of any fans' desires to see sexualized characters.

Scully's anxiety over little bumps in The X-Files' pilot, which led to two disrobing and examinations of her in her bra and panties
