Lucy Kahn is one of the protagonists of Farthing, an alternative history novel by Jo Walton.

The character is revealed to have greater depths throughout the novel. Ultimately, she is revealed to have helped an underground movement to rescue Jewish people from persecution in Europe, and she herself shows significant courage in the face of adversity. Her humanity and ability to escape the classism and anti-Semitism of her family are in large part due to her contacts with another woman, who has acted as a mentor and friend to her.
