The Kerastion is a short story by Ursula K. Le Guin.
A species has set up class distinctions, not based on gender but in terms of effect very similar to humans' treatment of different sexes. The story primarily deals with the difference in perceptions between the two classes and can be seen as comparable to linguistic / perception differences between the two human sexes.
