The Sith Academy is a collective fan fiction project that was created in 1999 by a Star Wars fan nicknamed Siubhan.

It tells of the apprenticeship of Darth Maul on Coruscant, and his Sith training, leading up to the events of The Phantom Menace, from a humorous perspective that parodies both George Lucas's universe and American culture.

The Sith Academy officially comprises 181 stories, and it has inspired artwork, t-shirts, a drinking game, a Tarot, meetings, academic essays, communities, and more. It's a fandom in itself.

Over six dozen authors from several countries contributed to the writing of the stories, and most of these writers are women.

The Storyline

One of the central aspects of the storyline that developed over time was the romantic relationship between Darth Maul and the young Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Humour

Notable Sith Academy catchphrases
"Sith Lords Kick Ass!" (as seen on the t-shirt!)
"Life hates me."
"Life loves me."
